Placement

25 hours per week in exchange for one meal per day and beach front accommodation in a beautiful shared house (shared bedroom). A minimum commitment of one month is required. Immediate start. Discounts on surfboard hire, surf lessons, hotels and fitness activities.

Our Visión and Focus

Misión Surf is a social impact hotel and surf school, created to generate self-sustainable income for Mision Mexico Foundation and provide community outreach support to the youth and families of Puerto Madero. We are a small, 6-bedroom, beachfront property located 30 minutes outside of Tapachula, Chiapas.

Role Context

We are looking for a skilled and reliable maintenance person to help with small to medium projects in our hotel and home. This includes carpentry, fixing doors/locks, fixing a rood, and general maintaining of the property and grounds.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Proven experience in carpentry or general maintenance

  • Energetic

  • Valid ‘Working with Children Check’ / Criminal Records Check prior to placement.

  • Conversational in either English or Spanish

  • 21 years or older

  • No drug use

Desirable Criteria
