Role Context
An exciting new position has been created to work alongside the Mision Mexico Foundation Director by providing assistance and support in; administration, income generation and the day-to-day operations of running our Foundation. We are looking for an exceptional candidate who is passionate about growing and developing within this role, and willing to take on high level responsibilities. The main focus of our Executive Assistant role will be to: Provide administrative and strategic support to the Mision Mexico Foundation Director. Develop and manage all income generation, corporate partnerships/donations and fundraising events within Mexico. Coordinate day to day financial activity within Mexico.
Duties and Responsibilities
Manage, maintain and develop relationships with external organisations and individuals on behalf of the Mision Mexico Foundation Director
Assist and lead on administrative tasks and projects as requested by the Mision Mexico Foundation Director
Research, develop and manage fundraising opportunities, donations of goods and corporate
partnerships within Mexico
Research and assist in preparing local and global grant applications
Assist in the growth and promotion of our social impact hotel, Mision Surf
Manage monthly expenses and financial processes, including salary payments and budget reports
Provide administrative HR support around vacation requests, recruitment, and employee records for a small team
Organise and minute team meetings
Essential Criteria
Proven experience supporting Directors or members of a leadership team
Excellent interpersonal and relationship building skills, with the ability to motivate team members
Excellent written and oral communication skills
Effective administrative skills, including MS Office
Effective time management skills with the ability to work autonomously including managing and prioritising own work load
Valid ‘Working with Children Check’ and undergo a Criminal Records Check prior to employment. Subsequently, staff must report any criminal charges or court appearances.
Conversational in both English and Spanish, fluent in both languages is preferable
Desirable Criteria
Experience in leadership skills
Experience in budget planning and management
Experience in coordinating projects
Experience in assisting with fundraising and/or increasing income for an organisation, preferably within Mexico
Additional Information
Annual leave will be negotiated with the Mision Mexico Foundation Director. This job description is
